How it works

Shoppers with smart phones are prompted to scan the giant QR code (works like a barcode except takes the shopper direct to a web page advertising weekly special(s) and a draw for a Christmas Prize Pack of free stuff.

All shoppers do is shop 'n' save on weekly specials by showing the voucher on their smart phone, photograph the receipt and enter the Christmas Prize Pack draw. However, shoppers don't need to purchase a weekly special to enter.

Shoppers can also check out the Christmas Prize Pack Sponsors page at any time including links via Facebook for businesses supplying goods and services, make a purchase and enter the draw the same way.

There are no links to the specials page and it can only be reached by scanning the QR code, by being in Downtown the Mount.

What you need to do to participate in the promotion

Supply your logo or business name as a low resolution jpeg file. Placed on our Christmas Prize Pack Sponsors page and used on facebook promoting your business as a Christmas Prize Pack sponsor. When you run a weekly special we will also tell facebook users that you have a special. However, they will only be able to access the voucher special by being at the Mount and scanning the QR code!

Your business makes a commitment to sponsor a free, no strings attached, product or service of real value. No two for one deals, multi buys or discounts. Talk with your suppliers to determine cost effective or value added products or services.

Remember Christmas Prize Pack winner are photographed and pictures are made available for publicity purposes.

Monday 16th December is the latest you will provide an email with full details of the free stuff your business is providing and a copy of this will be placed in the Prize Pack for the shopper to redeem in your business.

The costs to your business

$90 to have your logo on the Christmas Prize Pack page. Your choice of weekly offer to encourage people into your business. Advertising weekly specials currently $30 per voucher per week. Designer to assist you with your unique reusable special voucher charged by the hour. Typically only one hour required.

Our facebook page promotes the Christmas Prize Pack and the businesses sponsoring a Christmas Prize Pack product or service. We actively encourage shoppers to come scan the QR code visible from the Information Office Downtown Mount Maunganui.
